• Call for the next special issue of ENGAGE!, "Inclusive Engagement in Cancer Research and Practice"

  The call for the September special issue of ENGAGE! invites community/university collaborating researchers who are addressing different factors causing cancer disparities impacting urban and rural communities, particularly among historically marginalized populations. The journal invites community members and community-engaged scholars from a wide range of scientific and professional backgrounds to contribute. Abstracts should be submitted by April 15, 2025. Full submissions should be made by June 15, 2025.

  ENGAGE! editors invite you to submit manuscripts,  as well as pieces reflecting the visual and performing arts, for first of three issues to be published in 2022.
  
  Published by the IUPUI Office of Community Engagement, ENGAGE! is committed to advancing the field of community engaged research (CEnR) and community based participatory research (CBPR) evaluation and assessment in urban settings, nationally and internationally.

  A distinctive characteristic of the journal is that articles must be conceptualized, written and disseminated with a community partner. We invite empirical, conceptual, and theoretical articles that make substantial contributions to the field. How are communities consulted during creative processes and engaged in art forms placed in public spaces? And how are communities involved in co-creating research about various art forms. ENGAGE! editors ask for submissions that center these questions.
