Abstract

Metropolitan universities can play a key role in the integration of technology into K-12 education. Indeed, technology efforts will fail without higher education involvement. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has programs to train in-service teachers in technology, a space flight simulator for handson education, and connections to schools that will assure new teachers' familiarity with technology.
