Abstract

This article advances knowledge utilization for greater emphasis among the functions of the university and urges that it be enhanced in the practice of civic culture. Glances at the future of continuing education are made along the dimensions ot first, education and industrial practice, and, second, the restoration of primary citizenship. The first moves easily from where continuing educators now find themselves; the second is more elusive and requires new forms of financial support and administrative organization.
