Imam Yusuf Hasan (BCC) is the first board certified Muslim chaplain in the Association of Professional Chaplains. He works at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center with a clinical assignment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Caring for the Human Spirit, and specializes in pediatric and multi-faith spiritual care. Hasan is the author of groundbreaking chapters in books such as Disaster Spiritual Care: Practical Clergy Responses to Community, Regional and National Tragedy (2011), On the Ground After 9/11: Mental Health Responses and Practical Knowledge Gained (2005), and A Time for Listening and Caring of the Chronically Ill and Dying (2006), among others.
Mira Abou Elezz (MA, BCC) serves as a staff chaplain at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She previously piloted the Muslim chaplain role at Penn Medicine Princeton Health. In addition to her clinical work, she chaired professional development for the Association of Muslim Chaplains, supporting education and advancement in the field.
